PERSONNELOld Colony Players is largely volunteer based, but could not function successfully without the talents of two key employees: Knolan Benfield (Business Manager) and Joanna Heilman (House Manager.)
Knolan’s extensive background as a professional in the writing, photography, and the tour industry has served him well since joining Old Colony Players earlier this year. His dry wit has served on numerous occasions to alleviate many of the stressful parts of managing a non-profit theatrical organization. Knolan lives in Morganton and came to OCP in April of 2000. Joanna has been the OCP House Manager since 1999. She is originally from Hickory with strong ties to Valdese. She was responsible for publicity and served as sound technician for Old Colony Players / Valdese Elementary Chorus programs. Joanna currently teaches Physical Education at the Valdese Elementary School. Old Colony Players is guided by a board of directors which gives direction to the organization and works with the business manager to execute long term plans and current productions.
