Our pastor is Don Freshour. Don is an Associate Member of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. He and his wife Lynda have been appointed to Salem UMC since 1992. Don and Lynda also own and manage Living Water Christian Bookstore (located next to Wal-mart on Hwy. 64) and The Bible Bookstore (uptown) which are both in Morganton.
Katy Bradley is our Youth Director. She is a nurse at Valdese General Hospital through the week. Katy is married to David and they have four children; Matthew, Anna, Elizabeth and Sarah. David is employed by the Valdese Police Department. Katy and David reside in Drexel and come to us from Christ United Methodist Church.

Alan, Lonna and Alana are from Salem United Methodist Church but presently ministering as pastor and family at Denton's Chapel United Methodist Church near Morganton, NC.
