The BURKE COUNTY CHAPTER of The American Red Cross schedules and hosts Bloodmobiles in cooperation with the Carolina's Blood Services Region of The American Red Cross. Bloodmobiles are scheduled throughout the county at schools, churches, civic clubs, business - industry sites and at the local Chapter office.

In addition to Bloodmobiles, our Chapter also conducts community blood pressure screenings in honor and memory of Mildred Largent, one of our Blood Services Volunteers. Beginning as an initiative to serve the needs of the African-American community, this service is now available community wide. If your church or organization would like to sponsor a blood pressure screening, please call the Chapter office.

When and where possible, the Burke County Chapter also schedules bone marrow donor drives in conjunction with blood drives. Those who agree to become bone marrow donors are entered in the National Bone Marrow Donor Program Registry.
